Here are some answers to common questions.

Note: The following are instructions on how to use Google Authenticator for setting up two factor authentication (2fa). You are free to use another authentication application, if you choose.

Step 1: Download Google Authenticator

1. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your smartphone.

2. Search for “Google Authenticator.”

3. Tap “Install” or “Get” to download and install the app.

Step 2: Open the App and Set Up

1. Once installed, open Google Authenticator from your home screen.

2. If this is your first time, the app will ask you to begin setup by adding an account.

Step 3: Add Your First Account

1. Log into the website or service you want to secure with two-factor authentication (2FA), such as Gmail, Facebook, or another platform.

2. Go to the security settings of that platform and enable two-factor authentication.

3. Select the option for Google Authenticator or “Authenticator App” when prompted.

4. The website will display a QR code (a black and white square barcode).

Step 4: Scan the QR Code

1. In the Google Authenticator app, tap the “+” icon at the bottom-right of the screen.

2. Choose “Scan a QR code.” Your camera will open.

3. Point your phone’s camera at the QR code displayed on the website. The app will automatically scan it and add the account.

Step 5: Use the Authenticator for Login

1. After scanning, Google Authenticator will show a 6-digit code for that account. This code changes every 30 seconds.

2. When logging in to the website or service in the future, enter this 6-digit code after typing your password to complete the login.

Step 1: Create a Password

  1. In the email, click the link to set up your password. It will look similar to this: https://kleinwood.elvanto.net/password/...
  2. This will take you to a page where you can create a new password for your account

Step 2: Enter Your Username and Password

  1. On the password setup page, your username (provided in the email) will already be entered.
  2. Create a password and enter it twice to confirm.
  3. Click Continue.

Step 3: Two-Factor Authentication Setup (Action Required)

  1. After setting your password, you will need to set up two-factor authentication (2FA).
  2. Click on Get Started to begin the 2FA setup.

Step 4: Set up Authenticator

  1. Download an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy) from your device’s app store.
  2. In the app, select Set up account and choose Scan barcode.
  3. Scan the QR code shown on your screen.

Step 5: Enter Authenticator Code

  1. Your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code after scanning the QR code.
  2. Enter this 6-digit code in the field and click Verify.

After completing these steps, your account will be set up with both a password and two-factor authentication.

Step 1: Access the Church Website

  1. Open the Kleinwood church of Christ website (https://kleinwood.church).
  2. Click on the "MEMBERS" tab in the top navigation bar.

Step 2: Log into Your Account

  1. You will be redirected to the login page.
  2. Enter your email/username and password.
  3. Click the "Log In" button.

Step 3: Open Your Profile

  1. Once logged in, locate your profile name in the upper right corner.
  2. Click on it and select "Profile" from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Navigate to Scheduling Preferences

  1. On your profile page, scroll down to the "Volunteering" section.
  2. Click on "Scheduling Preferences".

Step 5: Set Your Volunteering Preferences

  1. Under Preferences, you can set:
       - The maximum number of services you want to volunteer for per month.
       - The number of services you are willing to serve per day.
  2. Below, you will see different departments where you can volunteer (e.g., Audio & Video Service, Prayer Service, Lord’s Supper Service).
  3. Click the dropdown next to the role you wish to sign up for.

Step 6: Choose Your Availability

  1. Select one of the following scheduling options:
       - As often as needed
       - Times per month (Set to "0" to opt out)
       - Weeks between serving
       - Weeks of the month
  2. Adjust the frequency according to your preference.

Step 7: Save Your Preferences

  1. Click the green "Save" button at the bottom of the page to finalize your selections.

Now, you are officially signed up for volunteering! The church will assign you to serve based on your chosen preferences.
